Paintball Markers Guide

There is little doubt that paintball is a very exciting and adrenaline pumping sport. The reason for this is due in part to the development of the paintball markers that are used to shoot paintballs at an opponent. Because of this fact the sport of paintball has bee growing by leaps and bounds all around the world.

Obviously if we had to use slingshots to lob out paintballs at each other, it would not be nearly as fun as mowing down your friend with a rapid fire paintball marker. A ‘marker’ is the proper name for a paintball gun and called that for its ability to mark an opponent with paint.

Aside from the paintball itself, paintball markers are the most crucial piece of equipment on the field. Can’t shoot someone without a marker, now can you?

Paintball Markers shoot a paint projectile with is essentially a eco-friendly liquid paint that contained inside of a gelatinous ball kind of like a liquid-gel medicine capsule. When propelled from the barrel of a paintball marker at sufficient velocity the paintball will upon impact implode and shower the target with colorful paint.

There are a huge number of paintball markers and options available on the market. It is up to you to decide which type, style and configuration will best suit your needs and style of play. So do your research.

Paintball markers are categorized by skill level from beginner to intermediate to expert. A good rule of thumb is to start with a paintball marker that is on par with your skill level. If you are new to the sport, then buy a inexpensive paintball marker that will get you started then trade up to a higher quality gun as your skill levels improve.

There are two main types of air systems you can get for your paintball marker, the most common system is the carbon dioxide gas system, which is also the system used by most intro level paintball markers. The other system is known as a high-pressure system that uses nitrogen to power your marker. The HPA system is more complicated as well as more powerful and is not recommend for beginners.
