Paintball Fields Guide

With the ever increasing popularity of paintball throughout the world its only natural that paintball fields and courses should be popping up everywhere you look. Paintball fields are a business opportunity that provides a local area with a safe contained paintballing zone where you will not be bothered.

Paintball fields have become popular not only with the competition crowd, but also with the general public. Many Paintball fields are now offering rental equipment as well and for this reason they have become popular with birthday parties, bachelor parties, field trips and get togethers. Many people are taking up paintball as a weekend hobby and buying full access passes to their local field.

There are many different types of paintball fields and they are very dependant on the location in which they are built. If its out in the country a paintball field might be several acres in size with a wide variety of terrain. Other paintball courses may just be a dirt compound with man made obstacles and homemade terrain. If the paintball field is in a big city, you can probably bet that it will be an indoor field in a warehouse. All if these different fields are fun to play on and offer different things to different types of paintball.

Some of the most common games played on paintball fields are woodsball which is usually played on a wooded field, speedsball, and hyperball, these last two are extremely fast and intense games that may only last a few minutes. The other type of game that is getting very popular on a paintball field is the war game scenario in which two or more teams or armies battle in and around fabricated bunkers and war vehicles or in fields made to look like demolished war zones.

While outdoor paintball fields are very popular and until recently have been the norm, they are often expensive to set up and maintain as well as being hard to administer the games and keep things running smoothly. Indoor paintball fields are much more controlled environments and for this reason are becoming more and more popular, Plus with an indoor course you can play paintball year round without having to worry about the weather.
