Manufactured by Odyssey, the Halo paintball hopper is one of the most popular hoppers today. With a feeding speed of 22 balls per second, this halo paintball hopper can hold up to 170 paintballs. Some of its other features include a low battery indicator, its revolutionary rip drive, and the ability to let fire up to 20,000 rounds per battery charge.
Battery: The Halo B hopper comes in two battery versions: the 6 AA and the 4 AA. While the 6 AA version is heavier, it allows for greater feeding speed. The average feed speed for this version is 17. Further, though the 4 AA version is lighter, its average speed is 15 balls per second. Also, the design of the battery holder is not very user friendly.
Capacity: The design of the Halo paintball hopper allows for a holding of about 170 paint balls. The only problem being that the firing the last few balls would not be very smooth as you would have to keep tilting the gun to load these balls. Further, reloading the hopper takes some time as to open the lid and keep it that way takes a little time.
Rip Drive: This is one of the best features of the hopper as it allows for a quick manual un-jamming of the paint in the hopper and is therefore quite useful in those last few crucial moments of a game.
Though the Halo paintball hopper has a few flaws there are upgrades available that help to minimize the effects of these drawbacks such as the Victory board, which allows the user to select the feed mode up to about 30 balls per second, the Speed feed, which allows the user to fill the halo paintball hopper without removing the lid, and of course lighter drive cones. These upgrades would make this halo paintball hopper an excellent hopper to have but keep in mind that the cost of these upgrades adds to the already big price of the halo paintball hopper itself. Anyways, this hopper is still worth having for its rip drive feature.
